ART 110- The Subject of Art-Evaluation

It is one of the drive I enjoy the most in this semester.  What do you mean by “it”?  Art 110 is the place where I can take my time to enjoy all the creativities that they offered up in the gallery.  It is really fun in some way, but I think there are some need of improvements in this class.

First of all, the beach week is the best week because I have the chance to go to the beach. That is a best week.  I do not like the UI/UX design because it is really boring in my opinion.  I have a suggestion the activity you can do for that week is using sticks to build something you like or design a good emotes.

I love all of the other things because it gave me valuable of new things and I would like you to keep all of those activities in the next class.

WEEK 11- ART & LIFE

It has been a short and enjoyable journey of discovering which art style do I like, posting my own works, and creating connections between fellow students in Art class.  I am satisfied with what the class had offered me.  It developed my mindset to take on challenges and create opportunities to decide for myself.

For what I had realized I had developed a habit to come to Gallery of art.  For two years, I did not even think that gallery was existed in school. I am a blind person to not come to this fascinating place.  Galleries are the place where I can relax after a stressful day or where I can find more amazing people here.  The arts are not consistent that is why I always find something new here. I learned how artist used everything to create their own arts from drawing to smithing.  Art can be made with everything.  If you have materials you can build whatever you like.  I have never show interested in art but after taking Art 110, I did not just learning art, but I also how to learn organized my life.

Professor Glenn showed me everything I had never try.  His characteristics drove me from a quiet person to a person who can be more active in life.  I was just a white paper, but as I was progressing in this class.  Mountains to rivers appeared in my paper slowly and I kept walking till it was full with lessons of lives.  I become more optimistic and I can do everything with confident.  I did hit a wall for believing myself too much, but It can not stop myself from what I want to do and what I want to achieve.

Overall, I became a new person after ten weeks of learning experience from Art 110.  I decided to try new things and I created my possible future self.  I am happy with Professor offered me in this class because I found my aim already. I will do whatever I can to continue follow the path that I had created,

Week Tenth Week Of Joy-Future predicament

There were three total possible course of events that I had figured out to prepare for future life.  I found many solutions for my life, but I found out there are 3 things I would possibly can do in the future.  It is essential to choose what I need to do because I am the one who makes decision not others who decided for me.

First I would like to become an engineer.  It is one of my dream to become famous person like Thomas Edison.  Engineers are the one who made the breakthrough in this modern century with their inventions.  I would want to become one of them because I want to help people with my inventions.

Second, if the first plan goes bad.  I will become graphic designer for some game company. It is my second alternative because I love to spend time on illustration.  It is my hobby, but It is something I enjoy to put my time on.  I would rather not live my life for nothing.

Last of all, I want to become an explorer.  There maybe another earth in the universe is waiting for us.  It will be a good civilization if we find another place which can benefit humans as it will create more knowledge and expand our minds for something that we do not reach yet.

It maybe silly to become an explorer, but I am serious for that idea.  It also foolish for not following our dreams because what make human special is the ability to do what we are dreaming.

Engineering Technology-Dien Duong

Hello to all who visits this website,

I am currently a junior at California State of University of Long Beach.  I hope I can get my degree in 2020 as I would like to stay back for another year at college.  I am happy with the career which I am currently following now.

This portfolio shows one of my best experiences in 3 years of my college and the walls I had overcame.  I am interested in coding and building robot.  I would like to build an artificial intelligence cause it is one of the dream I must achieve in my lifetime.

My identity is Vietnamese and I still try hard to absorb as much as knowledge as I can.  If I do not try at this time it would be hard for my future.

Week 8-Vines activity

The activity in this week is about drawing your own stories on vines or flip book.  I chose vines because it is easier to do something you know than something you have trouble with.  I tried to approach the dramatic story.  I made several plans and edited myself until I got the best story.  As it easy to understand for people.

The story is about a boy lost his best friend.  When she died, he realized that he loves his friend.  At the final moment, he called out his friend, but she had passed away.  Then, at the funeral in the rainy day, he waited for her answer although his friend had gone away already.

The experience is amazing because I am always had these images in my head.  I can write it, but through drawing it make more sense than write what you have in your mind.  I would love to draw vines more.  Here is part of a story I drew.

Week 7B-Automatic Drawing

Is automatic drawing about drawing using computer or machine to assist? That was the first question when I first look at these words ” automatic drawings”.  Drawing is something I usually draw alone but I never think that I would need help from others.  I was confused and worried because people may find me weird and suspicious when I asked them for help.

It turned out fine when I asked my brother to help me drew the painting.  It is really fun, we have a fight on our drawing. We forced the pen to moved to draw something in our mind, but I think we have different imagination when we was drawing. After five minutes, the pictures was formed and it executed beautifully.  All the edge we did turns out messy, but it is like a fusion ideas of our opinions of art.
